Two Lions - Music

This album titled *Two Lions*, which celebrates the transformative potential of Torbay by drawing inspiration from Singapore’s rise from a trading port to a global powerhouse. Each song weaves a narrative of ambition, urging Torbay to adopt Singapore’s lessons in strong leadership, economic innovation, and cultural pride as part of a campaign for office. Through vibrant anthems, listenersare rallied to reimagine Torbay’s future with world-class governance, safety, and prosperity, bridging the spirit of these two lions.

This is an album being built... music videos are coming :)

1: That Actually Works

This is a song that celebrates Singapore’s transformation from a humble trading port to a thriving first-world nation, highlighting the lessons we can learn from its success in long-term planning, fairness, and effective governance. It contrasts this with Torbay’s potential to reinvent its economy through modern tourism and future-focused education, driven by strong, skilled leadership and a renewed sense of local pride. The chorus boldly calls for sidelining mediocrity, emphasizing the need for excellence to achieve these ambitious goals.

Lyrics:

We built a Far East trading port (Singapura)
They flipped it into a first-world country (Singapore, yeah)
And now we have so much to learn (from them)
To be guided through experience (in so many matters)
Common sense and fairness
Must be our guiding lights
Long-term planning... that actually works

In Torbay... The economy...
Re-inventing tourism for the twenty-first century
A world class education based on the future
How is this achievable? (you might ask)

Strong, intelligent skilled leadership
Pride in our towns (like we used to have)
Safety and Security (like it used to be)

Put out to pasture the second-rate (they wont like it... aww tough shhhhh)
Put out to pasture the second-rate (they wont like it... aww tough shhhhh)

2: Do Our Leaders Understand?

I crafted a song that captures the urgency of 2025, rallying for a bold campaign strategy to shape Torbay’s future, built on a lifetime of preparation. It questions whether our leaders grasp the critical issues—jobs, safety, public services, health, and cultural pride—that define Torbay’s heart and soul. With a critical edge, I point out their failure to meet the high standards set by Singapore’s success, urging for leadership that truly understands.

Lyrics:

So we get to 2025 (what do we do?)
We prepare our campaign strategy (for the future)
someone's gotta do something (don't you think)
We've been building up to this all our lives (a long time)

What matters in Torbay?
The economy (that means jobs)
Do our leaders understand? (do they?)

What matters in Torbay?
Our safety (law and order)
Do our leaders understand? (do they?)

What matters in Torbay?
Our public services
Do our leaders understand? (do they?)

What matters in Torbay?
Our health (we are nothing without it)
Do our leaders understand? (do they?)

What matters in Torbay?
Our heritage and culture (pride)
Do our leaders understand? (do they?)

As an aside, they all fail the Singapore test
